Wearable Arts

Today at Enrich we went to Invercargill Museum to see the wearable arts exhibition.
It was awesome.

There were heaps of unusual but AMAZING designs. My favourite was the butterfly dress.
It looked really cool because it looked like butterflies were actually flying around the dress!

When we got back one of our picks was to either sketch or design one of the dresses or to write a short story or poem about the wearable arts exhibition and how it may of inspired us.

Passion Time

This week we had passion time that is were we get an hour and a half to do what our passion is.
Mine was Writing/Poetry. It was really fun but a little bit hard!
I am studying different poets and then writing my own poem.
Today I studied Roald Dahl, he is a very good poet and very inspiring!
I am looking forward to next week! :)

It was great to see you launch back into the term with your usual positve attitude!  You always make sure that you complete tasks to a high standard which was evident during the SCAMPER task this afternoon.  It was great to see your enthusisam for this activity.  You are happy to work either independently, or as part of a group.  In either setting, you always produce work to a high standard.  Well done Hannah.  Katie.

The Learning Wheel

Today we had to do reflection called a 'Learning Wheel.'

A learning wheel is where you put 5 things.

They are:

1. I wondered.

2. I tried.

3. I learned.

4. I used.

5. I felt.

We did this to look back on our first 

term this year at Enrich.

Feelings are happy around friends and nervous most of the time!

Fear of the dark, plasters and getting lost!

Accomplishments 1st place in rock’n’roll competitions!

Wants to experience getting 1st place in Nationals (Rock’n’Roll)

Lives in NZ, Invercargill!

Theatre Sports!

Today at Enrich we did theatre sports. 

Theatre sports is where you have to act but you don't have a script. 

It was very hard but very FUN!

We played a game called props. It is where you get given a very strange item and you have

to think on the spot to make it something!

When I went up with my partner we got given pool noodles.

We thought very hard and came up with some good ideas like elephant trunks,

horses and a unicorn horn!

Spanish

Last week at Enrich we got a chance to learn spanish. It was awesome.We learnt how to introduce ourselves and learnt how similar Spanish and English words are spelt! 

One of the things that I liked was learning how to pronounce Spanish words. 

We got handed two pieces of paper that had some words on them and we had had to try to pronounce them and guess what they meant. I got Vinagre and Lepardo. They mean vinegar and leopard.
