Bio-Poem

A bio-poem is a poem which describes you!

Here is mine:

Hannah

Is wierd, kind, funny, loving!

Is cousin to 7

Loves Monkies and Goats and dancing rock’n’roll

Feelings are happy around friends and nervous most of the time!

Fear of the dark, plasters and getting lost!

Accomplishments 1st place in rock’n’roll competitions!

Wants to experience getting 1st place in Nationals (Rock’n’Roll)

Lives in NZ, Invercargill!

It was really FUN!!!

Theatre Sports!

Today at Enrich we did theatre sports. 

Theatre sports is where you have to act but you don't have a script. 

It was very hard but very FUN!

We played a game called props. It is where you get given a very strange item and you have

to think on the spot to make it something!

When I went up with my partner we got given pool noodles.

We thought very hard and came up with some good ideas like elephant trunks,

horses and a unicorn horn!

Spanish

Last week at Enrich we got a chance to learn spanish. It was awesome.We learnt how to introduce ourselves and learnt how similar Spanish and English words are spelt! 

One of the things that I liked was learning how to pronounce Spanish words. 

We got handed two pieces of paper that had some words on them and we had had to try to pronounce them and guess what they meant. I got Vinagre and Lepardo. They mean vinegar and leopard. 

2011 Refection

This year we had to fill in a reflection sheet to see what we have improved 

on and what we need to work on. 

I found it quite hard but it was also fun.

You were very busy this week creating your scale model of your band rotunda.  I was impressed with you and Sophie's critical thought about what materials to use...I think you were wise not to use plasticine for the whole thing!  I hope you get it finished next week, you have worked hard to make sure it is an accurate model!

Cartooning

Last week Kerry came in to teach us cartooning.
It was so fun. We learnt how to do caricatures and cartoons.
For the caricatures we got to copy a caricature from the All Blacks.
I did the All Blacks coach. It looked great. We also learnt how to change a characters expressions by adding in dots and lines.
We also Watched a YouTube clip on caricatures.

Habits of mind!

Today we learnt some more habits of mind.
They are Persistance, that is where you stick to something you can't complete, Responding with wonderment and awe, that is when you use your expressions when you see something cool. The last one was taking responsible risks, that is when you take a risk that is NOT dumb, stupid or silly.
It was really fun.
