Term Two Self Assesment!

Today I did a self assesment about term two at Enrich. 

It gave me ten sentence starters then I had to fill it in!

It took me a while to do it but I finally finished it!

Here it is:

We also played a Willson game! It was great!

You had to be in groups of three and you had to hold hands!

When Darryn clapped you had to do a big jump but you had to do it in sync with your

group and you had to jump like a kangaroo so you had to jump with your feet

one beside the other and then you had to land with your feet one beside the other.

It was so hard!

Spanish

Today at Enrich I went to spanish.
This time we learnt how to say how old we are .
To say how old you are in spanish you say "Tengo ________ anos"
So I would say "Tengo dies anos" That means "I am ten"


We also learnt how to ask someone how old they are.
In spanish you say "Cuantos anos tienes"


We did an activity sheet that was awesome. There was a picture of
someone and underneath there was their name and age. You had to introduce them in
Spanish.


One of them was "Me llamo Jessica. Tengo trece anos"
That means My name is Jessica and I am thirteen 


I thought it was really fun and I can't wait for next week.

Today at Talent Development we edited photos that we took at Queens Park last week!!!

It was really fun! :)

For editing I tried collaging a few of my photos together and I thought it looked really really cool!

I did my collage about the Southland Museum and the Tuatara's!

Passion Time

Today at passion time I carried on with poetry.


I am doing poetry because I love it and I want to know some poetry skills.
At passion time Darryn helped me with a poem and gave me A LOT of ideas!


The poem I am working at now is a wet autumn poem that I am doing in free verse. 
Free verse is were there is no rules apart from get rid of a word if you don't need it and if you can try  to replace two or three words with one word.
One of my favourite lines is: 


People hurrying indoors, shaking the rain drops off their umbrellas, tugging off soaking coats racing to make a hot chocolate!


I like passion time because it is super fun but super challenging!      

Queens Park

Today at Enrich I went to Queens Park with my photography group!
It was awesome!
We had to take nature photos that we could manipulate and also static images!
I took some great photos!
When we got back we had to use I-photo to edit them!

Wearable Arts

Today at Enrich we went to Invercargill Museum to see the wearable arts exhibition.
It was awesome.

There were heaps of unusual but AMAZING designs. My favourite was the butterfly dress.
It looked really cool because it looked like butterflies were actually flying around the dress!

When we got back one of our picks was to either sketch or design one of the dresses or to write a short story or poem about the wearable arts exhibition and how it may of inspired us.

Passion Time

This week we had passion time that is were we get an hour and a half to do what our passion is.
Mine was Writing/Poetry. It was really fun but a little bit hard!
I am studying different poets and then writing my own poem.
Today I studied Roald Dahl, he is a very good poet and very inspiring!
I am looking forward to next week! :)
